Event management · Frome
Fifteen years running some of the UK’s biggest festivals taught us how big events really work. Now we bring that to your organisation, as an extension of your team.
We’re planners and problem solvers. We’re licensing and safety specialists. We’re creative producers and a calm team on the day. We’re Lintel.
What we do
Sometimes we run everything, from the event management plan and licensing to the build and the decor. Sometimes we take one area, work out what isn’t working, and fix it properly. You get a dedicated project manager either way.
01
We work with you to build a perfect plan for your event, focused on your organisation’s mission and helping you achieve it. Our knowledgeable team designs the operational planning: staffing, budgets, security and licensing, everything that feeds into a bespoke event management plan.
02
We create the decor, trails, activities and learning for audiences to explore and learn from. Right now we’re working on a big immersive wildlife project, so watch this space.
03
We’re your calm team on site, relied upon to turn up early with a professional crew. We see our plans right through the event and support you throughout.
We help festivals and events assess their needs and evaluate which tools and technology would work best. We tend to start with a workshop, looking at what’s blocking the team: it could be a hard-to-use ticketing system, or bringing payments in-house. Then we look at the current tools on the market to find the options that best suit your needs. We support your team throughout the switch, including data transfer, training and troubleshooting: your very own event tech experts.
Festivals are where we come from. Gardens, galleries and free public events are where we’re heading, and everything we’ve learned carries straight over.
Licensing, traders and bars, ticketing, and a crew who know what a wet Saturday does to a site. Bring us in for one part of the plan or the whole weekend, and we’ll fit around your team.
Flower shows, open gardens and garden festivals need the same planning as any festival: site and visitor flow, traders and nurseries, ticketing and entry. We handle the operations, and bring in floral and creative designers when a show needs them.
Family days and outdoor programmes built around your collection. We design interpretation, trails and hands-on activities around your curators' and educators' content rather than over the top of it, so a seven-year-old and their grandparent both get something out of the same visit.
We think festivals should be free and for everyone. If you have budget for a community event, we’ll help it reach as many people as possible, and handle the event management plan, licensing and safety advisory group along the way.

Like a lintel over a doorway, we hold everything up behind the scenes, so you can get on with the bit everyone came for.
For us, sustainability covers the planet, the people and the local economy. We plan for all of it from the start, then measure what happened and report it back to you.
We’ve run eco-bond and reusable cup schemes for over ten years, so we know where they work and where they get tricky. We go paperless from application to accreditation and track what’s sold and who’s trading, so you get emissions figures you can use.
We think festivals should be for everyone, not a bougie day out for the few. We work with local groups, keep prices fair so people can afford to come, and create paid and volunteer roles that give people real experience.
Our target is 80% of supplier spend within 25 miles of site. At Adventure Club, our own festival in Frome, 100% of our traders were local. Keeping the money in the area matters to us, and we’ll report back on what we hit.

Reporting to a funder, council or trustees? We’ll give you the environmental, social and economic evidence you need, in whatever format they ask for.
Lintel is led by Jess Gould, with an assistant and a trusted network of freelancers we bring in to suit each event.
With fifteen years’ experience in live events, Jess has worked on everything from city festivals and camping weekends to international productions, including Glastonbury, Boomtown, and Arcadia Spectacular’s shows at Burning Man and in Taipei, Miami and Perth.
Jess thrives on turning creative ideas into events that run safely and smoothly. Whether it’s licensing, budgets, site operations, health and safety or the ticketing, access and payment systems behind the gates, she loves bringing structure to the moving parts so the day itself feels effortless.
She’s passionate about free community events and runs Adventure Club CIC in her spare time: a family camping festival each July, and free monthly events bringing people together with music, theatre and comedy.

Ways to work with us
Every event needs something different. Start with whichever fits, and we scale the team to match.
An honest look at what you’ve already got, whether that’s your ticketing and tech, your plans and paperwork, or a brief before it goes out. Practical advice, and no ties to any supplier.
Hand us one piece and we’ll own it from start to finish, whether that’s licensing, ticketing, traders and bars, or the creative build. We’ve moved festivals onto new ticketing platforms, from the contract review through to the post-event reports, and been the trader management team for others.
The whole event, from the first conversation to the debrief: event management plan, licensing, crew, build and decor. You get one dedicated project manager throughout.
Just need a safe pair of hands for show day? We’ll provide a production manager for a sponsor, run trader payment terminals, or lead a team on site.
Not sure which fits? Tell us the date and the half-formed idea, and we’ll suggest one.
Got an idea you want to talk through? Drop us a line and we’ll grab a coffee and chat it over, in Frome, on a call, or wherever suits.
